Sidemount Diver Distinctive Specialty
Diving in sidemount configuration is the process of taking one or two cylinders and placing them on either side of your body, rather than mounting them on your back, (traditionally known as back mount.)
Self Reliant Diver
The Self-Reliant Diver specialty course will teach you to recognize and accept the role of the buddy system and its contributions to diver safety while identifying and developing self-reliance and independence while scuba diving. Your dive buddies are your most important pieces of dive gear.
Tec 40
Technical diving is scuba diving's "extreme" sport, taking experienced and qualified divers far deeper than in mainstream recreational diving. Technical diving is marked by significantly more equipment and training requirements to manage the additional hazard this type of diving entails. Tec diving isn't for everyone, but for those who hear its challenge call, the PADI TecRec courses are the answer.
Tec 45
Tec 45 course provides a transitional qualification while continuing to develop as a technical diver. The equipment requirements are the same as for the Tec Deep Diver Course. This diver is qualified to make limited technical decompression dives using the equipment and the procedures used at the Tec Deep Diver level.
Tec 50
Tec 50 course is the complete, entry-level skill set for extensive open circuit deep decompression tec diving (formerly Tec Deep Diver). The diver is qualified to make technical decompression dives within the limits of training and equipment.
Tec 1 (Tec Apprentice)
Divers looking to take on the challenge of tec diving but missing the experience requirements for PADI DSAT Tec Deep, the Tec 1 (Tec Apprentice) course develops the skills essential and knowledge essential to tec diving and enables you to make gas-switch, extended no-stop dives to 40m/130ft.
Tec Deep
For serious divers looking to explore depths and times beyond the recreation limits, PADI DSAT Tec Deep prepares you to make gas-switch, extended no-stop dives, decompression stop dives, and accelerated decompression dives using air, enriched air and pure oxygen to 50m/165ft.
Tec Gas Blender
More people are diving with enriched air and this means the demand for enriched air fills is also increasing. However, there needs to be someone qualified to administer these fills to meet this demand. This is where the PADI Gas Blender course comes in.
